Welcome
Christmas Greetings
I pray that during this busy Christmas Season, we start each day filled with the joy of Christ’s birth. A few months ago, the Director of Children’s Ministries at my church shared A Father's Love Letter, an intimate message from God to you. In the letter it lists Bible passages that show how much our Heavenly Father loves us and how often He tells us so in his Word, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. A few of these passages are: “You may not know me, but I know everything about you.” Psalm 139:1 “I know when you sit down and when you rise up.” Psalm 139:2 “I am familiar with all your ways.” Psalm 139:3 “Even the very hairs on your head are numbered.” Matthew 10:29-31 “For you were made in my image.” Genesis 1:27 “For you are my offspring.” Acts 17:28 “I knew you even before you were conceived.” Jeremiah 1:4-5 “When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you.” Psalm 34:18 “As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart.” Isaiah 40:1 The letter is signed, Love, Your Dad, Almighty God. I don’t know about you, but as much as I love my children, I certainly do not know the very hairs on their head or when they sit and rise up! God’s love for us is really unfathomable to us. His ultimate gift of love for us was when he sent His one and only Son to earth to live as man, then to hang on the cross to take on our sins, that we may be forgiven and have eternal life. As we purchase and wrap our gifts, attend Christmas gatherings and everything that comes with this time of year, be sure to rejoice in the truth that you are loved beyond measure. May His light glow in you as you share the true Christmas story with all you meet. May the light of Christ guide you through the season and into the New Year.
