Welcome - LWML CNH - Lutheran Women in Mission

Have you registered for the May 2-4 Convention in Sacramento yet? Bible study led by Donna Pyle based on Ephesians 6, mission news, opportunity to be in worship with sisters from throughout the district, fellowship, voting for 2014-2016 Mission Grants, a banquet in an air museum and the blessing of 11 Young Women Representatives will all be part of weekend.

And these three remain: faith, hope, and love.  1 Corinthians 13:13

Nurturing Faith in Christ – We are committed to helping every woman find personal opportunities in her daily life and in her congregation to be nurtured in faith in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to discover her unique gifts and value in God’s family.

Making Our Mission Meaningful – We challenge and equip women of all ages, stages, ethnicities, and experiences to make a meaningful difference in the loves of hurting, helpless, and unbelieving people at home and throughout the world.

Sharing Encouragement – We believe that women value the friendship, support, and encouragement from other women and strive to offer warm, welcoming opportunities for women to grow in faith and relationships as sisters in Christ.

The societies, zones and LWML CNH District are encouraged to incorporate these targets and goals in their planning. Mission Grants voted on at the May 2-4, 2014 Convention reflect the very same goals.

With praise and thanksgiving to God:

  • The many exciting Mission Grant proposals that have been submitted. Twenty seven Mission Grants will be on the ballot at the convention.
  • 2012-2014 Mission Grants are fully funded.
  • Willing leaders and committees  preparing for the May 2-4, 2014 LWML CNH Convention
  • Women willing to serve in elected positions – many thanks to the Nominating Committee
  • The opportunity for worship, fellowship and serving through the many spring rallies
  • For the gift of family and friends

Each of us is the “Face of LWML” as we are participants in the many opportunities to use our gifts to impact the world for Christ in our daily lives.

Marcia Houseworth, LWML CNH President

God is good and so faithful to us in the LWML CNH District.  Let us return that faith 10 fold in the support of all of our Grant Projects.

Remember 25% of our Mites go to LWML to help fund the mission work of our national organization.   Continue to send your Mites in each month especially doubling your effort at this time to help with our national mission goal that is now running behind.   Go to the LWML website to see the list of mission grants for this biennium.

REMINDER -- Use the Remittance Form to submit your mites, prorate, Steinbeck, Rubin, and Quarterly subscription payment to the district. [Form is on the
